Ultimate Chess Library Project
the_seeker: Hi, mates. I have a proposition to make. I think we could reorganize a bit, with little joint effort, to create an ultimate collection of chess items. With so many places dropping like pawns in the endgame, I think we could use one stable place where we could upload and download from. Here's what I have in mind. Let's use Mediafire for our repository. There are numerous advantages: 1. It's free. 2. Files don't get deleted. 3. There's unlimited space. 4. Both download and upload speed are maximum and we don't have to worry about seeders either. I have been using Mediafire for Chess Library for a long time now, and without any problems. So it's good by test. Now, as for the execution, I imagie thsi too like as follows: we piuck up a few members who have relatively fast connection, time on their hands and are willing to upload chess goodies to the designated account. Then we divide the material amongst them: 1 person uploads chessbase stuff, the other covekta, another one ICC videos, someone else ebooks, etc etc. Hope you see where I am going with this. I try to do that myself at Chess Library, but it's a lot of uploading for one person, not to metnion its time consuming and I am lazy. However, if each of the uploaders took care only of one category, we'd have a full library in no time. I really trhionk this could work and would help us to have a complete chess library well organized and in not time, with little effort. We could even use my Chess Library as the starting point, as there are many uploads already. One thing I would advise against though is sharing the account access with all, instead of chosen, reliable members. The reason for that is simple - with access to the account one can delete all the uploads with one click, and we all know there are some mean-spirited people lurking around, as few of them as there might be. Hope someone steps up willing to help. I for one, volunteer to take care of my share of uploads. So who else could chip in? mediafire.com/antoniusblock
joakimvitriol: Great that it finally work! Good hint about 3rd part Iluminat. Next I will upload Sam Collins 1.e4 Repertoire but it's going to take some time because of my poor uploading speed. I'll let you know when complete upload.

illuminat: Hello joakimvitriol, unfortunately i had to report that your new upload (Sam Collins e4) is damaged (I've downloaded it twice for beeing sure). When i unpack it, it shows an error message after ca.25 MB, that indicates that perhaps the first file may be damaged. It would be great if you could reupload it! Thanks in advance! illuminat: Hello joakimvitriol, i've downloaded the "new" first part and the second part twice, but i got a error message at ca. 100MB. So it could be the first file or the second. the_seeker: Thanks, chessgod, but it seems, despite earlier assurances, noone is really interested in an organized team work to create a chess library, so i have given up on regular uploads. I am open to fullfil an requests I can, though.

joakimvitriol: second part uploaded again and Kir, there is uploading problem, compression is OK, I extracted files on my computer twice and everything worked fine. Maybe I should try to upload to some different hosting site.
Tix: Hi, sorry, I've been quite busy lately. For the talk we had about uploading files, I think I need a "pass" in order to upload to your library, right? I should be able to upload some books from time to times. thanks see you.
Kir: joakimvitriol - trying to unzip gives me a long error list (in fact, all media files and more), the resulting folder being 115 Mb large. So it's maybe part 2 or part 1. Or the last one? I have no idea, except that part 3 might be ok.

joakimvitriol: I uploaded second part again and then downloaded files myself and my 7-zip got error about 113 MB so according second part is corrupted again. It starts to irritate very much I think that best option will be to upload to some other hosting site just to see what will happen. If you people have some suggestions about good hosting sites similar to mediafire I am all ears. And I am willing to help with Seekers original idea as much as I can according to my slow and as we see bad connection because who knows what will happen with our beloved forum. Just instruct me what to do. If you are a registered user without premium status, your files will be stored until at least 90 days after their last download."

illuminat: Hello joakimvitriol, it's still the same error. But i think it's still the first part, which is corrupted. Because the error message comes at 96 MB compressed or 114 MB working size !! This indicates that it is the first file! It would be great if you had the patience to upload the first file once more! Megaupload seems to me a good alternative to mediafire, but i also prefer mediafire. Greetings Illuminat
