bankuss: The Scandinavian by John Emms pdf (March 28, 1997) Product Description In recent years, the Scandinavian Defense (1 c4 d5) has become increasingly popular both at club and grandmaster level. Through the use of model games for both sides, the author provides a thorough grounding in the key ideas so players can quickly and confidently start to use the Scandinavian in their own games. http://rapidshare.com/files/29344159/John_Emms_-_The_Scandinavian.zip Das Schachspiel und seine historische Entwicklung by Ludwig Bachmann 179 pages, German language, DJVU, 21.2 MB http://rapidshare.com/files/36496749/bachmann.djvu Ajedrez Maestro Contra Amateur/ Chess Master Vs Chess Amateur (Spanish Edition) by Max Euwe and Walter Meiden (Jun 30, 1999) Spanish language PDF, 1.9 MB http://rapidshare.com/files/43137911/Max_Euwe___Walter_Meiden_-_Maestro_contra_Amateur__Spanish_.pdf.html Bueno, yo lei este libro, para un jugador de ajedrez que viene empezando, este es el tipo de libro que le ayudará a mejorar, hace diferentes tratados: -Principio de desarrollo de piezas -Como evitar caer en una minuatura, o como elaborar una miniatura( partidas desicivas en 20 movimientos) -Celadas de apertura No me inmagino un jugador que empiece sin este libro, yo tengo un ELO mas de 2000, y aun veo las paritdas de vez en cuando, aunque no me sirven, es un libro que abona cuando imparta clases. Igor Stohl has selected 62 outstanding games from recent years and analysed them in painstaking depth. Here he presents his findings to chess enthusiasts, who will find the games entertaining and the annotations both instructive and illuminating. Stohl is an outstanding theoretical expert, so the opening phase of each game reads like a lesson in the key strategic aspects of the opening chosen, with a critical survey of modern trends. The middlegame is dissected and the critical decisions subjected to keen scrutiny - we are invited inside Stohl's laboratory to join him in the quest for the truth. The endgame phase, if reached, is handled with similar erudition, with insights into the grandmaster's approach to questions of technique. Following each game there is a discussion of the most important lessons to be learned. The expanded and revised new edition of this award-winning work features 12 new top-level games from the period 2000-2007 annotated in great depth - about 15% new material. There are also corrections to the existing notes and a revised Introduction. The Najdorf is one of the most sharp, dynamic, and popular openings that Black can play and is a firm favorite amongst the world's elite players, including world number one Garry Kasparov. From the Back Cover The Najdorf Sicilian is one of the most sharp, dynamic and popular openings that Black can play and is a firm favorite amongst the world’s elite players, including world number one Garry Kasparov. From very early on, Black unbalances the game to a reach a position in which one can play for the win without exceptional risk. The soundness of the Najdorf has never been seriously doubted, but some players can be put off by the ever-spiraling amount of theory amassed on this great opening. In Play the Najdorf: Scheveningen Style, however, Grandmaster and openings expert John Emms condenses this mountain to produce a workable black repertoire against all of White’s possible options. Emms concentrates on lines where Black adopts a very early ..e7-e6, thus establishing the well-known Scheveningen pawn structure. Play the Najdorf explains an opening championed by Garry Kasparov; is written by a renowned openings theoretician; covers all of White’s main replies. Книга Эммса о системе Найдорфа с ..е6 / 17610 kb Starting Out: Queen's Gambit Declined by Neil McDonald http://rapidshare.com/files/149360719/McDonald_Neil_-_Starting_Out_-_Queen_s_Gambit_Declined.djvu Review: There aren't that many books on the QGD -- Marovic and Polugayevsky are the only authors that come to mind off the top of my head, and they're both somewhat dated. So there's definitely a niche for a book on the subject. The book under review is a godsend for a 1.d4 player like myself who wants a clear explanation of ideas. For instance, in the classical set-up (...c6, ...Nbd7, ...Be7), what does one aim for in the tabiya position that arises after 12....e5? The book, as the author makes clear, doesn't cover every main line: it restricts itself to the Tartakower, the Lasker, the Exchange, the Classical, the Cambridge Springs, and the Bf4 lines. The author explains the ideas in each of these lines using games from both past and present. Every class player who plays or encounters the QGD will benefit from this, and even experts may pick up a few things. In my humble opinion, mastery of QGD and QGA postions is essential for every chessplayer, regardless of whether he plays them or not.To this extent, the book belongs on every player's shelf.

Кевин: Ajedrez, Partidas Clasicas / Chess Classic Games: De Paul Morphy a Miguel Tal / from Paul Morphy to Miguel Tal) (Spanish Edition) (Paperback) by Guil Russek http://rapidshare.com/files/247043732/Chess_-_Russek__Guil_-_Ajedrez__Partidas_Clasicas_-_De_Paul_Morphy_a_Mikhail_Tal.pdf | 7795 KB http://rapidshare.com/files/247794134/Gligoric._Shall_We_Play_Fischerandom_Chess.pdf | 7843 KB Product Description There has long been talk of the death of chess, that it would one day be 'played out', but with the use of powerful computer programs and databases in recent years, this fear is being taken very seriously. Computers have greatly accelerated the pace of opening knowledge and ever deeper and deeper preparation is now required - with many chess games effectively starting on move 20 or more. To side-step the effect of computers on our venerable game the great American champion Bobby Fischer has devised a form of chess in which the initial starting position of the pieces is randomly changed before each game. Much thought and practical experimentation has gone into the formulation of the new rules of 'Fischerandom' in order to retain all the essential qualities of the classical form of the game- even castling - so that players can once again enjoy pure chess where the only thing that counts is who is the better player on the day. The first all-grandmaster Fischerandom match has already taken place and is predicted to increase the new game's popularity. In this book, the first ever on Fischerandom, the author discusses at length the problems the chess world is facing today - with quotes and opinions from contemporary players, organisers and journalists - and the history of shuffe chess, together with complete Fischerandom rules and a selection of illustrative games. About the Author Svetczar Gligoric is an acclaimed journalist and grandmaster. Once rated the strongest European chess player outside of Russia, he is a long-time friend of Bobby Fischer and thus ideally suited to explain the rules and theories of Fischerandom chess. The Trompowsky, 2nd (Paperback) by Nigel Davies (April 1, 2005) http://rapidshare.com/files/247823562/Nigel_Davies_-_The_Trompowsky.2005.pdf | 10488 KB Product Description From relative obscurity to one of White's favorite queen's pawn openings, the rise in popularity of the Trompowsky Attack over the last decade or so has been quite staggering. Even the World number one Garry Kasparov has tried his hand at this dynamic opening. The Trompowsky is an ideal weapon for club and tournament players. From as early as move two White stamps his authority on the game and gives Black difficult problems to solve. Grandmaster Nigel Davies presents readers with up-to-date coverage of this ever-expanding opening. Using model games for both White and Black, he studies the key strategies and tactics associated with the Trompowsky. From the Back Cover From relative obscurity to one of White's favourite queen's pawn openings, the rise in popularity of the Trompowsky Attack over the last decade or so has been quite staggering. Largely inspired by a group of English players headed by Julian Hodgson and Michael Adams, the 'Tromp' has been enthusiastically taken up by club players and Grandmasters alike. Even the World number one Garry Kasparov has tried his hand at this dynamic opening. The Trompowsky is an ideal weapon for club and tournament players. From as early as move two White stamps his authority on the game and gives Black difficult problems to solve. While it's true that the opening has now built up a reasonable amount of theory, there is relatively little to learn compared to more mainstream openings and still much scope for original play. In this book Grandmaster Nigel Davies presents the reader with up-to-date coverage of this ever-expanding opening. Using model games for both White and Black, he studies the key strategies and tactics associated with the Trompowsky. *Written by an expert on the Trompowsky *Ideal for club and tournament players *All main lines are covered *Provides everything you need to know to play the opening with confidence Nigel Davies is both an experienced Grandmaster and chess trainer. markge: Analysing the Endgame by Jon Speelman - 1988. - 177 p. http://depositfiles.com/ru/files/07hg6hghl?redirect | 1,76 mb This book is entitled Analysing the Endgame - a name which could encompass any of a number of sins. In fact the title arose as a compromise. On the one hand are the rather stentorian Corrected Chess Endgames and its light-hearted counterpart The Axe, the Lens and the Sellotape (you find something wrong in an ending, subject it to detailed analysis and then try to stick it all together again); these describe some of the contents but ignore the rest. On the other hand are wishy-washy titles which really say nothing at all: just Endgames, etc. Publisher: Batsford Chess Book; 2nd edition

markge: Silman's Complete endgame course. From beginner to master. 2007. - 543 p. (pdf) http://depositfiles.com/ru/files/kc2rdidh6?redirect 25.01 MB Almost all players who dream of endgame improvement experience the same frustrating scenario: They buy the latest critically acclaimed and usually over¬stuffed endgame title, open it up (hands quivering with the exciting prospect of gleaning arcane knowledge), and read the author's assurances that they now possess the book of ultimate endgame enlightenment. However, after they spend a few days looking over several examples, they inevitably shelve it alongside all their other unread chess tomes. Pondering this common story led me to ask an important question: How can the whole endgame genre be done differently? That question led to Silman s Complete Endgame Course, which stresses individual guidance and instruction and, yes, hope for players of every rating group. This book is designed to make players who are disgusted with endgame study feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it assures you that you can become an accomplished endgame player with just a little effort. By offering instruction that's tailor-made to fit a player's individual rating group, and is in accord with that player's future goals, I make endgame study easy to grasp and extremely practical for players and coaches. Of course, each coach will have opinions as to what endgames are appropriate for each rating group, so personal adjustments can always be made. Nevertheless, coaches will find my book to be an invaluable teaching tool that they can use with confidence. Silman s Complete Endgame Course is the endgame book that everyone always wanted but couldn't find. Now it's in front of you, and I hope it proves to be everything you always dreamed such a book could and should be.
